BRIEF: OptiComm acquisition strengthens Uniti’s competitive offer
Uniti Group recently announced its intention to acquire OptiComm. Both the entities were listed on ASX as recently as 2019. The acquisition will cost $532mn, the funds for which will come from a $270mn entitlement offer, $125mn worth shares to OptiComm shareholders and a three-year $150mn debt facility. The acquisition supports Uniti’s vision of accelerated buying of infrastructure, expanding fibre products and long-term sustainable organic growth.
