The future of Vocus Retail – three scenarios

TLDR version: TPG has announced it is reviewing an offer from Vocus to acquire to elements of TPG’s Enterprise, Government and Wholesale assets and associated fixed infrastructure assets, including Vision Network. If the deal proceeds, it would strengthen Vocus in the enterprise and wholesale markets. For TPG, it would be in a better position to fund growth in its mobile and wireless position and fill the gap left by the failed Telstra MOCN deal. Such a transaction also once more raises the question of what the future of Vocus Retail might look like.
