The Australian Video Entertainment market has now shrunk by over $600m (11% nominal) from its peak in 2009
The OTT revolution continues to reshape the Video Entertainment marketplace
Streamed digital media (SVOD, TVOD and EST) are growing strongly at the expense of traditional media (Satellite and HFC delivered Premium Pay-TV and Physical media in the form of Blu-ray and DVDs)
However, greater levels of competition mean that revenues from digital media are not fully replacing existing revenues
Consumer spending on video peaked at $5.8bn in 2009
Through to the end of June, the market will have fallen to a forecast $5.2bn (2016) and we expect it to shrink further to $4.8bn by 2020
